Description

In this course, students will explore the art of Punch Needle during the first semester, followed by Macramé and Crochet in the second semester through engaging, age-appropriate projects.

Open to students from GS 1 to OS 4, this activity offers opportunities to work with a variety of materials while developing patience, precision, coordination, and fine motor skills.

Punch Needle
This activity uses a special tool and different types of yarn to create textured designs on fabric. Students will create projects such as decorative wall hangings, cushions, bags, and abstract or figurative designs.

Macramé
In this activity, students will explore different types of cords and yarn while learning a variety of hand-made knotting techniques without the use of tools. They will create decorative and functional objects such as keychains, garlands, wall hangings, dolls, flowers, and animal figures.

Crochet
This activity introduces students to the use of a crochet hook and different types of yarn. Students will gradually learn basic stitches, develop crochet techniques, and complete a variety of projects such as baskets, bags, and pouches.

The teacher may request a small contribution at the beginning of the school year to help cover the cost of materials required for the course.
