Conditions for participation in extracurricular activities.

Please read these Conditions of Participation for Extracurricular Activities thoroughly before registering your child for a course.

The courses take place on the grounds and in the buildings of the European School Karlsruhe, unless clearly stated otherwise in the programme overview.

The participants are ESK students and take part in a course according to their age group.

A participant’s family must be a member of the Parents’ Association.
For each child and course, one registration form must be handed in to the Parents’ Association/ or an online registration must be created.

Please let us know if your child has any special problems that are relevant to the activity and the instructor (e.g. allergies in the cooking class etc..).

If you pay by bank transfer: Only after the payment has been received on the Parents’ Association account will a participant be entered on the course list. If the maximum number of participants is exceeded, the date of payment of the course fee is decisive for the position on the list of participants.

Participants have the right to a trial lesson before they register. The place cannot be reserved, so there is a possibility that the maximum number of participants has already been reached by then.

The EV reserves the right to cancel a course if the specified minimum number of participants is not reached. The course fees will then be refunded.
The Parents’ Association will inform you by e-mail if a course is cancelled.

Compensation for cancelled days on the part of the participants or the course leaders cannot be given. The PA will endeavour to keep cancellations to a minimum.

All participants will abide by the school’s rules of conduct on the school premises before, during and after the course. The course leaders use the school’s discipline sheets.

The participants are insured against accidents and liability during their participation in the course within the framework of a group insurance policy. Nevertheless, private accident and liability insurance is highly recommended on the part of the parents.

Please bear in mind that in the time between the end of school and the start of the course, as well as after the end of the course, course participants are not supervised and are on the school premises at their own risk. In the event of an accident or damage, please notify the Parents’ Association immediately.

Please note the different start and end dates and times of the individual courses.

There are no courses during the holidays.

For refunds we have to charge a minimal handling fee.
