Admin Board

There are different administrative bodies with different decision-making powers in the European School system (http://www.eursc.eu/en/).

Under the leadership of the Secretary General of the European Schools, the Admin Board (Administrative Board) discusses the daily problems, discusses all school administrative and management matters, and plans the budget and commitment. The school development plan is presented accordingly and also discussed.

The Admin Board at the ESK meets twice a year: once in the autumn for pedagogical matters and once in the early spring for the school budget. In addition to the Secretary General, it consists of the school management, representatives of the teachers from secondary and nursery/primary (both seconded and locally recruited), administrative staff (PAS), pupils, and parents as well as representatives from the EU Commission, from the German delegation, and from the JRC.

It is currently the most important body within which the parents are directly represented in the European School system. It offers the opportunity to have direct contact with the Secretary General and have a voice in all issues.
