The FOOD CLUB

From September Scolarest will take over the provision of midday meals at school, using their unique nationwide school catering concept – the FOOD CLUB.

Together with our sister company, EUREST Deutschland GmbH, we are part of the Compass Group who are very successful, nationally and internationally, in many diverse areas catering for people. Our company is DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 certified.
With this background, we have developed our catering concept FOOD CLUB by involving young people. Versatile, good quality and tasty food, without the need for artificial flavours is our main aim. The menus have been created within the guidelines of the Deutschen Gesellschaft Für Ernährung (German Institute for Nutrition) and we cook everything freshly in the kitchen for the students.

To reduce overheads and the cost of dealing with cash, as well as reducing the queuing time at the checkout, we have, in addition, invested in a new electronic payment system. Through this there is the possibility to book the meals together with your children, online at home. The information will be put on the existing school ID card and the details of how this will work is outlined below.
 

Cash-free payment for students in the Canteen

Instead of the labourious counting of meal tickets, we are offering cash-free payment at school. Once registered, children can order their chosen lunch over the internet at home or at the electronic terminal at school. Lunches can be ordered weekly or fortnightly. Changes or cancellations because of, for example illness can be made in the system on the same day, before 8.30am.

Children who decide in the morning that they want to have lunch that day can have a meal without booking in advance. They can pay with their ID card at the till point. This can be done only when money has been credited to the respective ID card. In addition to the online banking you and your children have the opportunity to “load” the ID card with credit in the Canteen. Cash will not be accepted at the checkout.

How to pay

First of all, money has to be transferred to the following bank account in advance (for example by standing order). This is called the “treuhandkonto”.

How to get the pre-book meals

The ID cards that students already use for security checks at the school entrance, are used also for getting the pre-booked meals in the canteen.

Please take note that all information about the user, username and password are strictly confidential.

Please transfer a credit (with reference details) to the “truehandkonto”. Depending on how often the students go to lunch, we recommend a standing order be made of about €20 – €40 per month. In addition you will have the possibility to transfer money over the electronic money station at school. You can always check your account at any time over the Internet. When money has been credited to the account you can make your first lunch orders. With the existing ID cards, your children can get their pre-ordered lunch in the canteen or pay with their “loaded” ID card when they get their meal.

Lunch orders and payments are only possible after money has been credited!
