Dear Parents and Pupils,

In the school year 2011/2012 the Parents Association will again be offering interesting Afterschool Activities for pupils of all ages within the primary and secondary schools.

Programme 2011/2012

Here you will find information about the individual courses being offered, the respective teachers/instructors, course duration, as well as the cost and when and where a course will take place.
You can enrole on line for your convenience.

It is possible to participate in several courses, but an individual registration form is required for each course and each child! You can alternatively fill in a form and return the completed forms to the Parents' Association office upstairs in the administration building. Outside of regular office hours, the forms can be left in the letter box next to the door. Additional forms can also be obtained at our office.

We would like to request that you transfer the fee(s) to the Parent Association account listed on the form, and not to pay cash! The name of the pupil will only be added to relevant course list after receipt of payment.

Most course fees unfortunately had to be increased, because Brussels stopped subsidising the Afterschool Activities. Courses financed by the Consulates (Turkish and Italian) remain free of charge. Also courses in French are slightly cheaper as they are partly subsidised by the French government.
Attention: For some courses the fee needs to be paid directly to the person or organisation teaching the course. Please read the following course specifics carefully.

We are very pleased to announce that the French Theatre club has returned. We also have 3 new courses: Cooking, Bollywood and Sevillanas. Please note that cooking and arts (Kunst) are for one semester only.

The courses will start on 10th October. In most cases it is not yet possible to give out information concerning course location. Please check the Website www.esk-eltern.de and posters at the school at the end of september.

General information and conditions:
All participants must be pupils of the ESK.
A course can only take place if there is the necessary minimum number of participants. The Parents Association reserves the right to cancel a course should this number not be achieved. In that case the fee will be refunded.
In case a maximum number is exceeded, the date of the fee payment into our account will determine the enrolment position on the course list.
Courses will only take place during school terms, not during holidays. Dates for beginning and ending do not necessarily coincide with those of the school.
In general most courses will be taught in German. Instructors make every effort though to make sure that each child can participate regardless of native language.
Pupils should register now, in order to make sure that classes are organised and can begin on time.
You will find conditions of participation on the attached registration form. Please read them through carefully before you sign.
Membership in the Parents Association is required in order to participate. (The current fee is 15€ per family per school year.)

If you have any questions please call the Parent Association office at 0721-6890045 during office hours, or send an e-mail to evesk-AA@eskar.org

We hope everyone will find interesting courses to participate in, and that all participants have a great time!
