2 meetings took place - one at 8.05am and the second at 7.30pm. The same agenda was followed in both, and this report amalgamates the discussions that took place at both meetings. Cindy van Velzen thanked everyone for coming to the meeting. She also thanked the class reps in recognition of all the hard work and diligence shown over the last 12 months. Feedback and ideas from parents has been very good and it was felt that due to the good work by class reps, communication had improved greatly, making the work of the PA much more relevant for the whole school. The ‘Welcome Back Party’ is a fun occasion organised by the school and the PA for new and current parents, children and teachers to meet and to get to know each other at the beginning of the school. Fit for school? The day starts with our traditional Bike Ride from Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof to school. Students, parents, teachers and friends meet at the main station and cycle together to school where there are bike-related activities, food and drinks, tombola prizes and a grand first prize of a new bike. *********... |

Become a member now - it’s easy - you can do it online today and there is no need to come to the PA office in person. It”s only €15,00 per family per year. Please arrange a bank standing order to transfer the money every year to help reduce administration time. Dear Parents, Students, Teachers and Staff, We hope you all enjoyed the summer holidays and you are ready for an exciting year. We, the Parents’ Association, are looking forward to the new challenges and opportunities that the year will bring and we will try hard to keep you informed of activities and news as well as offering help and advice for all. Members of the Parents’ Association will be in school on Monday 6 Sept, Tuesday 7 Sept, Wednesday 8 Sept, and Thursday 9th Sept until 12.00 each day to help parents with advice and information at the start of term if necessary. |

This next weekend, Saturday 25th September is the official open day for the KIT "campus nord" (Previously known as the Forschungszentrum, Karlsruhe) at Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen. This is a chance to see at first hand the research going on in over 60 institutes on the site. Anyone can enter on this day, kids included and there will also be a lot of entertainment organized.
