Mr. Hoyem, welcomed everyone to the School Advisory Council (SAC) meeting and said that, unlike other schools, ESK had used this transitionary year of the Reform to use the SAC to consult the wider school community as well as those officially designated to the SAC. He reminded everyone that the role of the SAC was to contribute towards the school development plan and to set clear priorities for the Administrative Board. The next meeting would be more formal and would finalise recommendations for the November Administrative Board.

Frau Pavlicikova welcomed everyone to the meeting.

The agenda for the meeting was adopted.

The minutes from the last meeting were accepted.

Frau Pavlicikova gave a brief up-date on the philosophy that is at the fore-front of early education principles. These principles include the need for children to be aware of the community that they are part of and how to interact positively to their environment. The European Commission is also supporting this which reflects the school reforms that many European countries are taking, by setting new guidelines for ES in primary education. Cindy van Velzen welcomed everyone to the meeting and the agenda was adopted. She introduced a round table for all present to give feed back from the various working groups and activities.

After-school activities
All the AA accounts have been checked and are in order, but the actual final list of courses that have taken place is still incomplete and there are still course fees outstanding. Due to the extensive choice of courses this year, the organisation of these activities has been enormous and it was suggested that more parents volunteer to help out in the busiest stages.
