New pupils
Some section reps reported delay in getting details of families of new pupils so that they can be welcomed into the school community and help can be offered. It was suggested that class reps ask the school secretaries directly for email addresses if necessary.

Mr. Hoyem welcomed everyone and wished them all Happy New Year. He had a few points he wished to raise before discussing the main agenda items. Firstly, the sad demise of Dr. Kutter, the school doctor, meant that the school was in need of a replacement. The post entailed a half day once a week at the school and carried an honorarium of 8,000€. The school doctor also coordinated with other staff on the well being of the students.

ESK are looking for a paediatrician to continue the work of Doctor Kutter who sadly passed away last year. Working one morning a week, the doctor would need to examine about 900 pupils during the academic year. Good knowledge of English and French is welcome. Interested candidates are invited to call the school nurse, Mrs Ebert, phone 0721/68009-23 by 1st February  2010.
