Parents' Associations of all European Schools are joined under the umbrella organisation Interparents. Interparents, in turn, represents parents on issues dealt with by the Board of Governors in Brussels. Issues range from nursery and primary teaching, secondary teaching, administrative and financial issues, Special Educational Needs and Learning Support, Attainment contracts, the European Baccalaureat qualification, languages and libraries and the development and reform of the European Schools. The Members of the Committee represent parents’ interests in all areas connected with the school. PA committee members represent parents on the Educational Council, the Administration Board and other Working Groups created to deal with various issues of the school. They are also responsible for communicating to parents the reports of meetings so that parents are kept fully aware of the progress and development of the school.
